Para empezar les cuento algo de historia para que se metan en el concepto que
encierra este gran personaje. Si tratamos de entender la "evolución" del
Psy-Trance es necesario hacer un salto al imaginario de los años 60, a un lugar
llamada Goa, en la India. Este lugar en esa década era visitado por muchos
hippies cansados de la forma de vida de sus sociedades post-industriales y
buscaban una armonía con la naturaleza. Esta gente celebraba fiestas
psicodélicas, con mezcla musical que iban desde el Acid Rock al Reggae.



Iniciados los 90 la gente de Goa había conocido los efectos de la música
"ácida" y empezaron a crear un estilo propio. El primero en incursionar en esto
fue Goa Gil, quien es considerado como el padre del GoaTrance. Lo que en la
actualidad conocemos como Psychedelic Trance desciende directamente del Goa y
ha desarrollado un sonido único y complejo con propiedades especificas.



El Psy-trance tiene una base ritmica poderosa a la que se agregan elementos
acústicos o electrónicos, a veces en vivo; además de sonidos sintetizados de
instrumentos milenarios como citaras, gongs, tambores y didgereedos.



Una fiesta trance es casi como una ceremonia o ritual, donde el primordial elemento es la
armonía entre la gente, la energía positiva, pudiendo llegar a estados elevados
de conciencia colectiva, convirtiéndose en más que una fiesta, en una completa
unión con la naturaleza y el cosmos.
